We, Pocket Power App Limited, 1386 London Road, Leigh on Sea, Essex SS9 2UJ, United Kingdom, are committed to protecting the privacy of users of the Pocket Power App website, Pocket Power App application(s), and/or other related services (hereinafter collectively the “Pocket Power App Services” or the “Services”).
For the purposes of this Privacy Policy, Pocket Power App Limited is the “data controller” for all Pocket Power App Services.
This Privacy Policy describes the types of personal and non-personal data we collect and how we use such data, including sensitive health data, as Pocket Power is a health app. This Privacy Policy is part of our General Terms and Conditions and applies to all Pocket Power App Services. Therefore, please make sure that you read and understand our Privacy Policy, as well as the General Terms and Conditions.
This Privacy Policy does not apply to any third-party websites, services, or applications, even if they may be accessible through the Pocket Power App Services.
By using any of the Pocket Power App Services, you hereby warrant and represent that (i) you have read, understand, and agree to this Privacy Policy, (ii) you are over 16 years of age (or are a parent or guardian with such authority to agree to this Privacy Policy for the benefit of an individual who is under 16 years of age). If you do not accept the terms set forth in this Privacy Policy and the consents associated therewith, please do not use our Services.
Subscription Options
Pocket Power offers two subscription tiers:
– Free Subscription: Provides full access to all app features, including health tracking, supported by advertisements delivered via Google AdMob.
– Premium Subscription (£9.99/month): Provides full access to all app features, including health tracking, without advertisements.
- What types and categories of data we collect, process, and use?
We collect, process, and use personal and non-personal data.
1.1 Personal and non-personal data
The term “personal data” is defined by the UK General Data Protection Regulation (UK GDPR) and the EU General Data Protection Regulation (EU GDPR). You can think of your personal data as any data that allow you to be identified or that can be correlated to you, including sensitive health data.
“Non-personal” data cannot be correlated to any specific person. By removing identifiable parts from and anonymizing personal data, personal data may be converted into “non-personal data.”
1.2 Data we collect, process, and use
We collect, process, and use three types of data:
– Data you provide to us voluntarily.
– Data we receive when you use our Services.
– Data we receive from third parties.
We collect, process, and use the following categories of data:
– Health Data: Information related to your health, such as fitness metrics, activity levels, heart rate, sleep patterns, workout schedules, or other health-related data you input or generate through the app. Health data is a special category under GDPR and is subject to enhanced protections.
– Your name and address.
– Your personal contact information (telephone, email, fax, etc.).
– Your username and password.
– Your user profile data (e.g., gender, fitness level, workout goals, profile photo).
– Your user preferences (e.g., preferred language settings).
– Your IP address, operating system, browser type, browser version, browser configuration, name of Internet provider, and any other relevant information regarding your computer and Internet connection to identify the type of your device, connect you to the website, exchange data with your (mobile) terminal device, or ensure proper use of the website and a Pocket Power App application.
– The URL and IP address of the website from which you access our website or from which you are transferred to our website, including date and time.
– Any pages of our website on which you click during your visit, and any links on our website on which you click, including date and time.
– The entire Uniform Resource Locator (URL) clickstream regarding, through, and from the website, including date and time.
– Your service inquiries and orders.
– Your transaction history, including open and completed transactions.
– Payment information for Premium Subscription purchases, processed by third-party payment processors (e.g., Apple or Google). We do not store payment card details but may receive billing-related information (e.g., transaction ID, subscription status).
– Search terms you input in relation to or within our Services.
– Advertising Data: With your explicit consent (e.g., via Apple’s AppTrackingTransparency prompt on iOS or Android’s ad personalization settings), data for personalized ads through Google AdMob, including device identifiers (e.g., IDFA, AAID), location data (if enabled), and behavioral data related to ad interactions (e.g., ads viewed or clicked). Health data is never used for advertising.
– Information collected by cookies or similar technologies (as explained below).
– Your survey answers, critiques, evaluations, or other responses.
– The content of all messages sent through the website or a Pocket Power App application, including information uploaded to social networks or shared with us and/or other users, as well as chat messages and chat logs.
– Information about workouts you upload or download using a Pocket Power App application.
– Your newsletter subscriptions.
– Any consents you have given us.
– Any other information input or uploaded by you through the website or a Pocket Power App application (e.g., information provided in online forms).
– Data we receive when you log in through social media (e.g., if you log in with Facebook).
- How is data collected?
Personal data, including health data, are collected by us only if you provide such data to us on your own initiative by choosing to use our Services. To use our Services, you must register your account with us.
2.1 Login
You may create a Pocket Power App user account through our login system. Following registration, you will be able to use your user account to subscribe to all Pocket Power App Services, including Free or Premium Subscriptions. To register, you must provide us with at least the following information:
– First and last name.
– Email address.
– Password.
Before completing the registration process, you must confirm that you have read our Privacy Policy and accept our General Terms and Conditions.
2.2 Adding information to your user profile
Pocket Power App application(s) also enable you to provide additional information, such as your gender, fitness level, workout goals, or health data (e.g., fitness metrics, heart rate). After registering, you can add more information to your profile (e.g., a profile photo). If you do so, you will provide us with personal data, including health data. We will also receive data (including personal data) when you communicate with us or other users through a Pocket Power App application. If you create a workout schedule or track health metrics, we will receive information about your workouts or health data. We will also receive information about how you use Pocket Power App application(s).
2.3 Enabling access rights to your device
To use a Pocket Power App application to its full extent, we may need certain access rights to your smartphone. For example:
– We need access to your camera or photos if you upload or change a profile photo.
– We need access to device sensors (e.g., motion sensors, heart rate monitors) to collect health data, with your explicit consent.
– We use push messages to send workout reminders or notify you of new followers or comments.
When you use such a function for the first time, we will ask whether you grant us such access rights or to adjust the appropriate settings. You may revoke these access rights at any time by changing your device settings.
2.4 Newsletter
You can register for our newsletter to receive regular updates about the Pocket Power App Services. To subscribe, provide a valid email address. You may unsubscribe at any time using the link included in each newsletter.
2.5 Linking your account to Facebook
You can link your Pocket Power App user account to your Facebook profile by choosing “Login with Facebook” during registration. You will be transferred to Facebook, where you will see which Facebook data we will access. We will store your Facebook email address for contact purposes and record that you registered through Facebook.
2.6 Website
When you access our website or Pocket Power App application(s), we collect data such as your IP address, terminal device type (e.g., computer, smartphone), browser type (e.g., Safari, Firefox), access time, referrer, and data volume transferred. Such data are processed for statistical purposes and cannot identify you directly.
2.7 Log files
Every time you access our website, data are automatically stored in log files, logging actions on our system. Log files track:
– Address of the accessing computer.
– Authentication fields.
– Date and time of access.
– Access method.
– Content of HTML access.
– Status code of the web server.
– Browser and operating system information.
Log files are used for process control, database restoration, and web server operations.
2.8 Other possible instances of data collection
Data collection also occurs when you:
– Open your Pocket Power App user account.
– Sign up for a subscription (Free or Premium).
– Upload a profile photo or health data.
– Send messages or contact us through the app or website.
2.9 Health Data Protections
Health data (e.g., fitness metrics, heart rate, sleep patterns) is treated with enhanced protections due to its sensitive nature under GDPR:
– We obtain explicit consent before collecting or processing health data.
– Health data is used solely to provide and improve health-related features (e.g., fitness tracking, personalized health insights).
– Health data is not shared with third parties for advertising or marketing, including Google AdMob.
– We apply enhanced security measures, such as encryption and pseudonymization, to protect health data.
– You may delete or export your health data upon request (see “Your Rights” below).
- Google AdMob
Our Free Subscription tier uses Google AdMob to deliver personalized advertisements. AdMob may collect:
– Device identifiers (e.g., IDFA, AAID).
– Location data (if enabled, with your consent).
– Behavioral data about your app usage and ad interactions (e.g., ads viewed, clicked, or dismissed).
Health data is never shared with or used by AdMob. Google uses AdMob data to serve targeted ads and improve advertising services. By using the Free Subscription, you consent to AdMob’s data collection unless you opt out (see “Your Choices” below). Users who opt for the Premium Subscription (£9.99/month) will not see ads or have data collected by AdMob.
- What are our legal bases for the processing of your data?
We process your data, including health data, based on Article 6 and Article 9 of the GDPR, relying on the following legal bases:
– Performance of our Services, Art. 6(1)(b).
– Legitimate interest relating to our Services, Art. 6(1)(f).
– Your explicit consent to process your data, including health data, Art. 6(1)(a) and Art. 9(2)(a).
– Compliance with a legal obligation, Art. 6(1)(c).
– Protection of vital interests of our users or others, Art. 6(1)(d).
– Performance of an obligation in the public interest, Art. 6(1)(e).
- What do we use your data for (purposes of processing)?
We use personal data, including health data, only if necessary for providing our Services, handling contracts, or with your consent. We process data for:
– Administering, operating, maintaining, and improving the website and Pocket Power App application(s), including health tracking features.
– Providing personalized health insights based on your health data (with explicit consent).
– Allowing and processing orders for services (e.g., Premium Subscription).
– Customizing your experience (e.g., tailoring content to your preferences, excluding health data for ads).
– Assessing eligibility for offers or services.
– Supporting improvement and customization of the Pocket Power App Services.
– Analyzing and researching customer behavior (anonymized where possible).
– Responding to your questions and inquiries.
– Providing information about services that may interest you.
– Communicating about concerns.
– Managing awards, surveys, lotteries, or promotional activities.
– Delivering personalized ads via Google AdMob in the Free Subscription tier (excluding health data).
– Complying with legal obligations, preventing unlawful use, protecting security, detecting fraud, settling disputes, and enforcing contracts.
– Other purposes with your consent or as permitted by law.
We will request your consent before using your data for the above purposes if required by law. We will notify you if we intend to use your data for a new purpose, using it only if necessary or with your consent.
- How long and where is data stored?
Your personal data, including health data, will be stored for as long as necessary for the defined purposes of processing or as required by law (e.g., tax or audit obligations). If you cancel your user account, we will erase or archive your data within a reasonable time, restricting processing unless legally obligated to retain it.
- Cookies and tracking pixels
We use cookies and tracking pixels (web beacons) to collect information about visitors to our website and users of our Pocket Power App application(s) to improve our Services.
A cookie allows a web server to place a text file (e.g., a clear ID) on your device. Cookies recognize you on subsequent visits and are stored locally, often with a limited duration. Flash cookies (local shared objects) store more data and are managed by the flash player plug-in.
You can manage cookies via browser settings to deactivate, limit, or delete them. Blocking cookies may impair website display or app functionality.
Tracking pixels in HTML emails or websites record access for statistical analysis. You can disable HTML emails in your email program to prevent some tracking pixels.
- Transfer of data to third parties
Your personal data, including health data, will be transferred to third parties only if legally obligated, necessary for contract performance, or with your consent. Third-party service providers receive data only to the extent necessary, under strict confidentiality agreements. Health data is shared only with providers essential for app functionality (e.g., cloud storage) under enhanced protections.
We use cloud services, which may store data on servers outside the EU/EEA. We ensure providers guarantee EU-equivalent data protection through contracts or EU-US Data Privacy Framework certification.
- Data processing – third-party services and partners
We use third-party services and partners to offer convenient functions, improve our Services, and support marketing. Health data is excluded from advertising services unless explicitly consented for app improvement.
9.1 Google
We use Google services (Google Inc., 1600 Amphitheatre Pkwy, Mountain View, CA 94043, USA) for analysis, advertising, and app functionality. These tools collect and analyze usage data, including for personalized ads via Google AdMob in the Free Subscription tier. Health data is not used for advertising.

9.1.1 Google Analytics
Our application(s) and website use Google Analytics to analyze usage via cookies. We activate IP anonymization, truncating IP addresses within the EU. Google provides reports on usage without merging IP addresses with other Google data. Health data is anonymized or excluded.

9.1.2 DoubleClick by Google
DoubleClick uses cookies to show relevant ads, assigning a pseudonymous ID to track ad interactions. Health data is not used. Data is stored on US servers and not merged with other Google data.

9.1.3 Google AdWords

9.1.4 Google Dynamic Remarketing
Google Dynamic Remarketing shows ads based on your website visits, using cookies. Health data is not used. 9.1.5 Firebase
Firebase (a Google subsidiary) provides analytics for our app, using advertising IDs to track usage. Health data is anonymized or excluded unless consented for app improvement. We use Firebase Remote Config to update app features.

9.1.6 Crashlytics

9.2 Social plug-ins
We use social plug-ins from:
– Facebook (Facebook Inc., 1601 S. California Ave, Palo Alto, CA 94304, USA).
– Twitter (Twitter Inc., 795 Folsom St., Suite 600, San Francisco, CA 94107, USA).
– Google+ (Google Inc., 1600 Amphitheatre Parkway, Mountain View, CA 94043, USA).
These plug-ins collect IP addresses and may place cookies, linking data to your social network profile if logged in. Health data is not shared. See providers’ policies:

9.2.1 Facebook Connect
Facebook Connect allows registration via your Facebook account, transferring profile data to us. We store your Facebook email and may transfer data to Facebook. Health data is not shared.

9.3 Pinterest
We use Pinterest’s “Pin it” button (Pinterest Inc., 635 High Street, Palo Alto, CA 94301, USA), which connects to Pinterest servers, sharing your IP address. If logged in, Pinterest links your visit to your account. Health data is not shared.

9.4 Adjust
Adjust (adjust GmbH, Saarbrücker Str. 37A, 10405 Berlin) monitors marketing performance, collecting anonymized IP addresses and app interactions. Health data is anonymized. Adjust is certified under the ePrivacyseal.

9.5 Amplitude
Amplitude (Amplitude Inc., 631 Howard Street, Suite 300, San Francisco, CA 94105, USA) tracks app events (e.g., completed workouts) and device information. Health data is anonymized unless consented for analysis. Data is stored in the US under the EU-US Data Privacy Framework.

9.6 Facebook Custom Audiences
Facebook Custom Audiences shows interest-based ads via Facebook pixel and SDK. Data is anonymous to us but may be linked to your Facebook profile. Health data is not used. Facebook is certified under the EU-US Data Privacy Framework.

- Data security
We maintain state-of-the-art measures, including SSL/TLS encryption, pseudonymization, and enhanced protections for health data, to minimize security risks. However, no method is 100% secure. Do not share your login data with third parties.
- Websites of third parties
We link to third-party websites but are not responsible for their content, security, or privacy policies.
- Your Choices
– Health Data: Opt out of providing health data or revoke consent via app settings, which may limit health features.
– Personalized Ads: Opt out by:
– iOS: Using Apple’s AppTrackingTransparency prompt or Settings > Privacy > Tracking.
– Android: Settings > Google > Ads > Opt out of Ads Personalization.
– Opting out may result in non-personalized ads.
– Premium Subscription: Upgrade to the £9.99/month Premium Subscription to remove ads and prevent AdMob data collection.
– Location Data: Disable location services in device settings.
– Cookies and Tracking: Manage via device or browser settings, which may impact functionality.
– Do Not Track (DNT): We do not respond to DNT signals but offer ad opt-out options.
– Newsletter: Unsubscribe via the link in each email.

You may at any time and at no cost request information about your personal data, including health data, processed by us, correction of errors, termination of processing, or erasure, subject to legal obligations. Under UK GDPR, EU GDPR, CCPA, and other laws, you have the right to:

– Demand correction of incorrect or incomplete data, per Art. 16 GDPR.
– Request deletion of your data, unless required for legal purposes, per Art. 17 GDPR.

– Revoke consent at any time, stopping future processing based on that consent, per Art. 7(3) GDPR.
– Object to processing based on legitimate interests, per Art. 21 GDPR, especially for direct marketing.
– Opt out of the sale/sharing of personal information (CCPA, if applicable).

- App Store Privacy Disclosures
Per Apple’s App Store requirements, our privacy practices, including health data collection, are disclosed in our App Privacy Details, specifying data types, purposes, and identity linkage. For Google Play, disclosures are in our Data Safety section.
